Whats Next?
To gain an ITQ at Level 2 you need to accumulate 16 credits. There is a mandatory unit 'Improving Productivity' which generates 4 credits, which is achieved by completing a practical assessment combined with your first unit and includes planning and evaluation of your own work.

The remaining credits are then gained by selecting additional units. These can all be at Level 2 or can be at different levels. An individual appointment will enable you to discuss your options to determine the best choice for you.

Optional Modules available include:
  • Word Processing
  • Spreadsheets
  • Database
  • Data Management
  • Presentation Graphics
  • Desktop Publishing

It is envisaged learners will have completed the Level 1 ITQ Certificate or equivalent. Where a learner is looking to commence the course without the entry requirements an Entry test will be given to ensure that the individual has the skills required to succeed at this Level. Where this is not the case, the learner will be offered an alternative course to meet their needs.

How is the course assessed:

The Level 2 ITQ Certificate can be assessed in a number of ways, the most likely option within our Learning Centre is through the completion of a series of practical based assessments which are assessed in the centre, with the results being feedback to you within a week. However the ITQ can be assessed through work based evidence, if you are interested in undertaking the ITQ through work based evidence please speak to one of our team.
The ITQ will give you a valuable qualification in technology and has been designed by employers to cover skills required for workforce development. The ITQ Level 2 is suitable for any role that requires use of ICT. Ideal for administrators, but also valuable for doctors,
lawyers, nurses, shop floor staff, teachers and teaching assistants or warehouse staff.

77% of people use ICT every day, so this is a key skill that is required by just about every job role.

The Level 2 ITQ Certificate will give an individual the confidence to use a range of ICT applications in the workplace and at home.
