Entry requirements for our courses depend on the specific requirements of each Programme of Study and an individual's previous experience, which will
all be discussed during the interview process.
The following list offers a guide as to what you might be expected to achieve to gain entry on to a particular level of a course.
Progressing to each level of study
Once you successfully completed your course you may be able to progress to the next level, following a satisfactory interview with a Tutor. If you’ve finished your Level 3 course
you will be offered advice and guidance from our Career Advisers on how to apply for a place at University through UCAS, or how to apply for a job or an Apprenticeship.
Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 courses generally last one year; Level 3 courses will usually last for two years.

Uniformed Public Services

You will be challenged physically through fitness sessions and adventurous activities as well as the opportunity to study law, government and citizenship in this course. Areas such as criminology, war and conflict and current affairs are also studied alongside the physical activities. You will improve your teamwork, fitness and leadership skills, which are essential for a career in the Armed Forces or other public services. Work experience will form a part of the course too.
When you’ve finished your course you’ll be ready to go out and start work, but some of our learners choose to go on to higher education, like a FdA Public Services Management, which opens up the door to higher education possibilities and also gives you greater knowledge to take out into the workplace and can even increase you chances of earning higher wages.
Daniel has completed Level 1 Uniformed Public Services and is looking forward to Level 2 having seen his confidence soar throughout his first year. Daniel said:
“I want to go into the Forces and Lincolnshire Regional College is the closest place to where I live that offers the qualification that I wanted to do. I’ve made lots of new friends and it’s just like one big family.
“We get to go on lots of trips and actually meet people who are working in the Armed Forces. They give us lots of tips on how they got in and progressed when they were our age. When I finish Level 2 I’d like to carry on with Level 3 and then hopefully I’ll be able to sign up for the Army.”
